It is not your fault

A world of plastic cards
of false hope,
commercial games,
brandings by name,
tricks used to fool
those deemed blind
behind front doors,
oblivious to the voices
training their lives
the pirates in black
raising their glasses
high towards the sky,
laughing, toasting
the conquered world
they buried below
the pavement of man,
although their greed
slowly brings destruction
cracking foundations
opening a hole
to the forgotten gifts
of lost freedom.
